The CEYX Band’s Dueling Piano & Guitar Show is NOT Your Typical DUELING PIANOS show!
It is Multi – Dimensional show using 2 keyboards, drums, guitar, sax and 3 lead singers. They take the old 2 man piano show to the next level. It’s all about playing UPBEAT songs that everyone loves and recognizes, while throwing in some good-natured comedy for good measure. We encourage an all request environment, where the audience members write down requests on little pieces of paper and include a tip if they want their song to have a better chance of being honored. The audience members take their pieces of paper with their requests to the entertainers. A big part of a great dueling pianos show involves an element of comedy from the entertainers, or as they call it in the business, “schtick”. The entertainers will either implement comedy within the songs that they play by adding funny words to them, or they will do comedy bits in between songs. The comedy can extend to embarrassing members of the audience. The CEYX Band’s Dueling Style Show takes the fun of dueling pianos to the next level with a full live band experience. It’s all the good times of a sing along show with the power of a rock and roll, Country, Oldies, Funky Music, Love Songs & Current Top 40. Think of this show as: sing-along therapy, make some new friends, and discover new & old music.
The CEYX Band’s Dueling Piano & Guitar Show is the #1 requested form of entertainment for corporate events and company parties.
Corporate events have never been so much fun with our completely interactive dueling corporate show. No other form of entertainment can get your entire group up and singing along, laughing good-naturedly at co-workers as they are called up to the stage to do various comedy and song routines, and at the same time exploding into an all-out dance party. Our high energy show is centered around dance hits and party anthems that will get you dancing in no time. It is always a smash hit and perfect for company parties. During the Christmas season, we can include a classy set of Holiday songs performed in a soft jazzy instrumental style. The audience becomes part of the show in a request-driven sing-along, dance-along, thump-the-tables-along extravaganza and becomes one big outrageous party. We bring an amazing sound system and cool LED Light Show.
The CEYX Band’s Dueling Piano & Guitar Show is NOT two guys sitting at pianos trying to compete with each other.
Nor is it performing the song from the white trash movie Deliverance. The Dueling Style Show is not an environment where you should request boring old musicals, Broadway show tunes, or especially do not request classical piano songs or old time piano songs by Scott Joplin. The Dueling Style Show is NOT that kind of party. It’s always so funny to walk up to the band and see a request for “Blue Danube” or “The Entertainer” or “Moonlight Sonata” by Beethoven. Wrong, wrong, wrong! You have the wrong idea. Do not request or expect the musicians to perform anything slow or boring that will grind the party to a halt. Watch out, if your requests are too lame, one of the musicians might actually make fun of you over the microphone to the entire audience. When you request songs for the dueling style show, think of sing-a-long songs. Songs that everyone can sing along to, those are the songs that you want to request. Crowd participation is a HUGE part of the show, and if one of the musicians goes into 10 minutes of classical piano pieces, they are going to lose 90% of the audience right there. Or if the musicians were to perform 15 minutes of obscure Broadway show tunes, it would bore almost everyone to sleep instantly. The Dueling Style Show is an art form that is based on upbeat, energetic performance songs that everyone will recognize and sing along or dance along to.
The CEYX Band’s Dueling Piano & Guitar Show has become the hottest new entertainment form for Charity Fundraisers | Galas & Wedding receptions.
We offer a complete wedding reception package that includes DJ service for cocktails and dinner, MC service for all of your announcements and use of microphones for your toasts. Our FUN show gets everyone involved, starting with the singing and then into a packed dance floor.

“You guys, obviously, know what you are doing. This year was way better. CEYX really entertained and kept every one captivated. It was a real blast and so much Fun, our president, Butch just loved the live music. We were all shocked with the way you were able to get people to participate in the skits on stage. From the very beginning, you played songs that the audience knew, sang along with and even hollered out to. We couldn’t believe the variety of requests you took from Metallica to Motown, From Kid Rock to Johnny Cash. From Bob Seger to Hotel CA. It was my job to pick out entertainment that would please a few hundred people of all ages. It is really nice to have so many people loving the show that, the next day all comments were positive. The musicianship was off the map. The caliber of players blew everyone away. You guys were like dueling pianos on steroids, “several notches up”. You really know what you are doing. In conclusion, everyone had a great time with your 2 hour CEYX band’s hybrid dueling piano show. This will be a hard act to top next year!”
Thanks again for making my job easy and FUN, Ken
These are a few of The CEYX Band’s Dueling Piano & Guitar Show’s Most Requested Songs:
Piano Man – Billy Joel (Piano Man is by far the most requested and most popular dueling piano song of all time. In fact, the art form of dueling pianos can almost be credited with this song as it describes a piano player performing in a bar room type setting, taking requests from patrons, telling sad stories to the bartender, playing for tips and making the manager happy. Piano Man seems to sum up everything about the reason everyone loves dueling pianos, and piano players in general so much.)
Brown Eyed Girl – Van Morrison (Ah, the familiar chorus that gets everyone singing along, “sha la la la la la la la la la la dee dah”, Van Morrison’s Brown Eyed Girl garners a ton of requests and it is one of the all-time great sing along songs. No doubt there might be a birthday in the audience and the girl has brown eyes and it is her favorite song, and everyone wants to hear the dueling pianos perform the song for all to enjoy!)

CEYX was Big Improvement over the comic from last year, who was over the top and not quite appropriate for a professional event like our annual convention. Anita-President – Rotary Club of Houghton Lake – Spouse Appreciation Night
Hi Dean, Tom, & Tim: We all had so much fun. The three of you are excellent! I have had so many great compliments on the entire party. It took a little time to get everyone up and going, but once they got up and started dancing, they had a blast. The hula hooping and the guys getting up to join the band, was also very entertaining. Great Job Guys!
We would love to have you again. I will definitely push to make that happen, maybe, not next year, but possibly the following. I will get with you in the further to see what we can line up for next year. Thanks for all your help, you have been exceptional. It was the BEST party we’ve ever had!! Thanks so much!
