Larry James and Dennis Charles team up to bring you the best of the Everly Brothers.
Both James and Dennis have been professional entertainers for many years. Dennis was the lead singer and leader of the band “Flashback” that performed all over the metro Detroit area back in the 70s and 80s. Dennis Charles has been an impersonator for over 20 years performing as Roy Orbison in the “Legends in Concert” show in Las Vegas and on tour throughout the world. He has worked with many superstars such as Garth Brooks, George Strait, Johnny Cash, Richard Marx, Kenny Loggins and Michael McDonald just to name a few.
Larry James performed all over the United States and Canada in an oldies rock and roll show band originally called “Rock & the Sharks” which later became “Rock’s Gang”. In fact the lead singer, Rock, from that band, is now a Johnny Cash tribute artist. Since those days, James has been a member of a number of different bands performing around the metro Detroit area and is currently in several bands. A rock cover band called “Mob Opera” which plays mostly 70s and 80s classic rock, and sometimes in another cover band called “Second Wind” which also plays classic rock. He is also in two tribute bands. The first is a tribute to Bad Company & Free (both Paul Rodgers bands) and this band is appropriately named “Band Company”, which I play guitar and piano in. The other tribute band is a tribute to REO Speedwagon, which is named “Detroit Speedwagon”, which I play keyboards in.
